Jon Reep is my favorite comedian, and this DVD is reinforcement to that sentiment. His humor is clean enough for the entire family both young and old.

This was a funny standup show that both myself and husband enjoyed. Most of the current comedy routines are the same ole talk about sex and vulgar language. This was good clean, true to life comedy with some meaning to it. Enjoyed it fully.

I ordered two dvd's for gift giving...one was fine but one DVD was loose in the packaging. I was forced to open the loose one, testing it for quality (it was fine) and will inform the gift recipient the reason why the seal was broken.
No big deal as the product survived in tact.Metro Jethro

Jon Reep won the Last Comic Standing reality show. His tag line during that competition was shaking his head wildly and saying Hiiiicckkkkorryyyy. Thank goodness, Jon has moved on from that line. This movie is his standup comedy performance in Charlote, North Carolina.
I was very surprised by this DVD. Jon's comedy has evolved rather nicely from that television show. He still tells stories and most of the jokes are about southern culture and small towns. But he's honed his delivery with a lot of confidence and nice stage presence. The tone of his comedy centers around the differences between small town southern red neck and big city Los Angeles or Hollywood. The one hour main performance is funny.
The DVD includes a mixed bag of bonus features. The 'out take' jokes are really good. They've embellished them with comments from John, his father, and his mother. Funny moments, that I liked very much. Where the bonus features fail is two 'comedies' Jon wrote and acted in. They are really bad. Very not funny at all.
Overall, I enjoyed Jon during Last Comic Standing (up to a point of overusing the Hickory schtick), and I find him even funnier in this standup performance. Probably wouldn't watch this disc many times, but it's great for a laugh.
The disc is not rated. I don't remember him using any strong language - a strange thing for a current comedian. The jokes were not obscene. The performance appeared to be ready for cable television at a normal hour (not late night Comedy Central). As far as I can tell this is not a repeat of a program already played to death on television (unlike Mitch Fatel: Mitch Fatel Is Magical).
